Once upon a time Garry had an art show called: Mask

Very happy to present my virtual art show “Mask”.

The production of this art show started off as a story of spiritual awakening, but it ended up being a practice of journeying into the subconscious. Through a weird stroke of coincidence, I discovered a website that talk about masks and the personas we use. They call it “shadow work”. So the way it works is like this. As we grow, we want to be good people to our parents and family, so we take those unwanted traits and behaviours and we banish them into a shadow realm. A place deep in our subconscious. But, they are not gone. Those behaviours and beliefs and habits come out of the shadows and take control of our bodies. That’s when we usually say: “why did I say or do that? That wasn’t like me at all.” It’s an interesting concept that I would like to go deeper into. There are several books I’m interesting in getting on the subject. “Inner work” by Robert A Johnson and Carl Jung’s Redbook. e
