Once upon a time Garry learned about Archetypes, what are they? He asked

So, I am doing some research on the internet on what is the subconscious and I stumbled upon Carl Jung and his theory on the collective unconscious and entities called “ARCHETYPES”.

According to Jung the unconscious is vast and unconscious, meaning we know nothing about this vast darkness. I think Jung equates DARKNESS/UNAWARENESS and LIGHT/AWARENESS. He also talks about the collective unconscious. I have less understanding of this. He says that throughout all of human history we have patterns that repeat. Birth, death, mother, father, priests, shamans, thieves, politicians. So these repeating patterns cut deeper in the human psyche. So an archetype is like a dried up river, where you can see the path the water took. It cut through the land. So, if the water would to flow again through that canal, the water would take that familiar path. That’s they only way I can visualize this idea of an archetype. So, there many many many archetypes but to get started there are major ones and they coincidentally can be found on the tarot cards. The Jester, The Magician, The High priestess, The Empress, The Emperor, The Hierophant, The Lovers, The Chariot, Strength, The Hermit, Wheel of Fortune, Justice, The Hanged Man, Death, Temperance, The Devil, The Tower, The Star, The Moon, The Sun, Judgement, The World. I don’t know if they are all relevant to the archetypes, I’m just learning this as I go along. But I’m very interested in one card in particular, The Trickster. It was as if I went into my subconscious and pulled out this trickster archetype when I made that painting. It’s my own personal archetype but connected to the major ones. I’m just worried about the types of tricks this thing is going to be pulling on me.
