Once Upon a Time there was an Artist Named Garry Sanipass…

Can’t believe it. so I was invited to attend a little function. It’s a whole thing. I submitted a lot of my paintings to a gallery in fredericton called: Gallery on Queen. A gallery that is ran by Nadia khoury. A very nice person who believes in my art. I really appreciate her helping me. She also submitted, on my behalf, a few paintings for government of New Brunswick to acquire my art, in which they did. This painting in fact.

A lot of paintings were also chosen, congratulations to them. So, everyone who’s art was acquired was invited to attend a function on September 6th, 2023 at the New Brunswick Government House. The Opening Celebration of collectionARTNB. That is wow. I am very honoured and thankful for New Brunswick and Gallery on Queen (Nadia Khoury) to allow me to be one of them.

Elated I am. So, this painting is a very hmmmm special painting. It’s actually a piece of a larger much larger work of art, a story that unfolds and continues to unfold in ways I can’t imagine.

Secretly, I am scared of going though. I don’t like crowds, I don’t know what to wear, I feel awkward, I keep forgetting to get a girlfriend to attend these things with me. I really think it would be good for me to attend this. I may never get another chance again. I’ll blog about it of course, take some pictures and try to post as many as I can.

Art can take you places, don’t let anyone tell you there’s no future in it. I think the entire world runs on art. Just keep practicing and have fun with it. Don’t take life too seriously or yourself or your art.

Really though, I am truly honoured for this opportunity and I don’t want to waste it. I think It’s a good thing to put on my resume.
