I’m working on my front deck. So the idea I have is to first have a convenient safe way to enter my house. Second, to build a place where I can sit outside and drink a cup of coffee, or watch the rain fall or snow fall. I’ll have to build a roof eventually for that. This is all very mundane and kind of boring, however I think it’s a luxury. It won’t cost me anything. I’m not doing it to improve the value of my house. No one can buy this anyway. I simply want to live in a way that will enhance my relationship to the forest around me.
